Dear Schneider Family, Thank you for sharing your Warren Mill home with our family. We had a wonderfully relaxing time. There were twenty-three of us, three generations, ranging in age from 61 years old to 5 weeks old.We came from the states of California, Wisconsin, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. There was plenty of space for us all. The mill has a wonderful, quaint charm about it. It is very warm and inviting. We just loved all the Catholic pictures, statues, and other materials throughout the mill. It shows a great depth of faith and made us all feel more at home and proud of our Catholic Faith. We were also amazed at your variety of reading materials. Most of us love to read and we enjoyed the books you have here. Thanks again and God Bless, The Kasper Family

Lisa, Dan, and Family, We had a wonderful time at Warren Mill, and enjoyed staying in the Carriage House. You have a very beautiful property here, as I'm sure you're aware. Thanks for sharing it with us! I left a bottle of wine, made by C. from grapes at the community garden and some plum preserves I made from the plum trees (organic) that we have also. Enjoy! Thans for letting me do some stuff, I enjoyed taking care of your animals, gardens, and homestead. Debbie and I are modern day homesteaders too, I know it's nice while you're away. Lots of Light- ps. What a way to celebrate a 50th Birthday! Girlfriends from the Thurmont, Maryland area treated two of us to a weekend at The Warren Mill. We gabbed a little, laughed a lot, enjoyed the peace and cooked fab dinners in that awesome kitchen. Too wet for the swing and we're sorry about that. Thank you so much for the opportunity to visit and we know you'll enjoy living there on a fulltime basis...who wouldn't???

"I had a fantastic experience staying at the Warren Mill. The house is absolutely gorgeous with an old world European charm about it. My husband and I decided that we wanted to have our entire wedding party (and all of our dogs who just couldn't be left out) stay in a somewhat rural location for our wedding weekend. We were marrying at my mothers church in Scottsville with the reception at UVA. Having grown up in the Scottsville area I was quite excited to stumble across the Warren Mill while doing searches for sites in the area. We had our rehearsal dinner in the big open room dowstairs and guests are still raving about it. The kitchen is a caterers dream and our friends had a blast. It was very intimate and the festivities continued late into the night since we were all staying at the property. We had a total of 21 guests stay in the big house and the little carriage house across the courtyard and everyone was comfortable. The next morning one of our groomsmen cooked a big breakfast with bloody mary's for all and everyone sat out in the courtyard in the sun feasting and enjoying the lovely morning. For the remainder of the day while I was getting ready for the ceremony, the wedding party spent the day hiking the property, playing and fishing in the river, and laying around the fishpond in the courtyard. They loved it! The owners were very accomodating and easy to work with. We also made use of the cleaning/linen service so that our guests didn't have to worry about that when they packed up and left Sunday. Overall it was just a perfect experience and I look forward to spending anniversaries at the Mill and one day taking our children there."

We are a large family hailing from NY, Mass., & NC! 15 of us and 2 goldens. Here is a list of our most memorable moments: Walking the dogs to the waterfall, crossing the tree across the creek, paddling to Scottsville, running thru rapids, picking eggs in the morning, ping-pong, fuse ball, listening to the trains, putting pennies on the tracks, fires outside in the evenings, wine tasting and hours of wine drinking, exploring the interesting ambiance here, chicken runs, enjoying the fresh herbs in the garden, cooking in your state-of-the-art kitchen, running on hay bales, exploring the bamboo forest, biking was great, sleeping in the book nook, the very dangerous swing, the dogs being dogs, the gardens at Monticello, Charlottesville, th Scottsville bar and dancing with the locals at Main, serious ping-pong, the beautiful mornings and fantastic evenings, having room to cook together, the records, learning the history here, collecting coal. Warren Mill fit our family well- perfect for my grandparents 60th anniversary and a birthday. we hope to return someday soon. PS- look up tim at First Colony- he is great! (Kluge is better) We found this place by searching "charming, pet-friendly, Virginia rental" we certainly found what we were looking for. Thank You!
