Welcome to Warren Mill
Est. 1792
Home Page
. . . in charming Scottsville, Virginia, original seat of Albemarle County.  Built in 1792, Warren Mill operated as a gristmill for over 100 years.
Currently, we are renting the carriage house for single families or married couples. It is a new structure which offers 2 bedrooms, a large family room and kitchen, bath, and expansive deck overlooking pasture and waterfall. Whether you are coming for history, wine touring, uva games, fishing, or canoeing the James River, the Carriage House at Warren Mill offers an idyllic setting. For more information, contact Lisa at lisa@warrenmill.net or 434-286-3629.
You are invited to enjoy a  unique retreat on the banks of Ballenger Creek and the nearby James River.  The 12 acres of this enchanting property include a large meadow, woods, waterfall and your own private swimming hole. Ballenger Creek passes under the historic culvert and empties into the James River, which is a short 5 minute walk from the Mill.  Spend a day on the river tubing, canoeing, or fishing as you completely unwind from your daily cares.
The Schneider family has completed the move to Warren Mill as our permanent home. So far, country life is everything we hoped and more! Our animal population is certainly increasing- we now have 7 chickens, 2 goats, 1 rabbit, 3 doves, and 1 horse. We are presently creating a horse pasture out of the back field and plan to add a few more horses.  Soon we hope to add some nice gardens as well.
If you are looking for a relaxing country retreat, come visit us at Warren Mill.
